FULL TIME SHOP & BAR ASSISTANT

Balancing both hospitality and retail skills we’re looking for an independent, affable candidate to join our settled team at our busiest site in Wood St, E17. This role is suited to candidates with previous experience in the craft beer, wine or similar industries.

The role is focused on but not limited to:

  • Expressing passion and enthusiasm for craft beer and wine

  • Using knowledge to guide customers with beer and wine choices

  • Cleaning and tidying the shop to a high standard

  • Maintaining strict control of stock

  • Managing the cellar and cleaning beer lines

  • Implementing creative and effective displays and merchandising

  • Communicating with other staff effectively

  • Supporting our GM and supervisor on-shift and with thorough feedback

Full time shop assistant roles are based on an average of 40-45 hours (5 days) per week, with potential for more, at £13 per hour. In addition, we offer a generous staff discount, participation in formal qualifications, day-trips out, and opportunity for growth within the company structure. PART TIME SHOP ASSISTANTS

We are also currently recruiting for three part-time shop assistants to join us, one in Wood St (with shifts available elsewhere), one in our East and North London shops (primarily Clapton and Kentish Town, with occasional shifts at Finsbury Park), and one at our South London sites (Balham, St John’s Hill (Battersea), and Forest Hill). As a dynamic and rapidly growing company, we are ideally looking for people who can demonstrate a strong commitment to and experience of the craft beer industry, and can excel in a demanding and fast paced environment.

The role is focused on but not limited to:

  • Expressing passion and enthusiasm for craft beer and wine

  • Using knowledge to guide customers with beer and wine choices

  • Cleaning and tidying the shop to a high standard

  • Maintaining strict control of stock

  • Managing the cellar and cleaning beer lines (at our drink-in sites)

  • Implementing creative and effective displays and merchandising

  • Communicating with other staff effectively

  • Striving to achieve sales targets and growth

Part-time shop assistant roles are based on an average of 14-24 hours (2-3 days) per week, with potential for more, at £13 per hour. In addition, we offer a generous staff discount, participation in formal qualifications, day-trips out, and opportunity for growth within the company structure.
