Press Release: 'Black Friday' Bourbon County Launch November 25th
Chicago brewer Goose Island has announced a UK launch of its sought-after Bourbon County Stout at Clapton Craft Kentish Town on November 25.
The bourbon barrel-aged beer is famous for attracting huge crowds to ‘Black Friday’ launches at the company’s US brewery - and we’re delighted to host the 2016 launch of Bourbon County stout on black Friday in the UK.
Just 100 bottles of the award-winning imperial stout will be available.
This variant of BCS was aged in American white oak Kentucky bourbon barrels for ten months in a non-temperature controlled warehouse - a process that gives it a dark colour and a wide range of rich, intense flavors.
Goose Island Brewmaster Jared Jankoski said; “This year’s edition should take you right back to where it started with Bourbon County Stout.
“Rich and deep with plenty to ponder, it features toffee and molasses, fresh tobacco and a bit of leather to go with the roast and barrel notes you are used to.”
The 2016 batch of BCS has been bottled at two strengths – 13.8% and 14.5% ABV.
It will be available to buy at Kentish Town Clapton Craft from ‘Black Friday’, November 25, 2016, while stocks last.
